Philosophy, M.A.

Enrich your intellectual imagination.

From climate change and biomedicine to global justice and corporate ethics, the environmental, scientific and social issues that face our world present many important philosophical questions.

In this program, you will form a deep understanding of the core areas of philosophy — ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, logic, and the history of philosophy — and how they relate to complex global issues. You will develop the sophisticated analytical thinking, reasoning and writing skills that are central to success in many professions.

Three tracks are available: general philosophy, environmental philosophy or ethics. Other strengths include philosophy of biology, philosophy of law, philosophy of mind and biblical interpretation.
