Schedule of Events

Dad of the Year Deadline: November 1st

Friday, November 15, 2019

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. — VandalStore Open
  • 3-5 p.m. — Vandal Health Clinic Open House
    Location: Bipasesores: Student Health Services

    The Vandal Health Clinic, in partnership with Gritman Moscow Family Medicine, provides healthcare services for students, faculty and staff. The Vandal Health Clinic offers a full range of primary and preventative care and referral services through its integration with Gritman Medical Center. Light refreshments served.
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m. — Information Table and Ticket Sales
    Location: VandalStore Plaza
  • 6 p.m. — Women’s Volleyball vs. University of Northern Colorado
    Location: Memorial Gymnasium
    Cost: ticket cost vary, call 111-111-6466
  • 5-7 p.m. — Dine & Dance
    Location: Bloom Café
    Cost: $50 per person

    The Dance Program and Bloom Café partner to host this special event. Enjoy a social and special dinner at Bloom, followed by the Dance Program’s fall production, Breaking Boundaries, at 7:30pm. Tickets include dinner, one free drink ticket, and entry to the dance show.
  • 5-7 p.m. — Beer Tasting
    Location: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Beef Pavilion
    Cost: $30 per person (over the age of 21); $35 at the door
    $15 per person (under the age of 21)

  • Come sample beer and ciders from local breweries and enjoy Vandal Brand Meats and Sausages. There will be special giveaways drawings, music, lawn games and more! Hosted by the Student Alumni Relations Board in partnership with Vandal Brand Meats. *Those under 21 may attend with a parent and/or family member.
      
  • 7:30 p.m. — Concert Only
    Location: Dance Studio Theatre (PEB 110)
    Cost: General admission $10; U of I students $8

    The Dance Program proudly presents Breaking Boundaries, a contemporary dance concert. This concert features work by U of I dance faulty and guest artist Michael Schumacher. Limited seating available. Purchase tickets online or at the door while supplies last.
  • 8-9 p.m. — Trivia, Pitman Center Vandal Ballroom
    free – “Play ‘90s team trivia and win prizes! Hosted by Vandal Entertainment and RHA.”

  • 9:30 a.m. — Builders & Bagels
    Location: Moscow Building Supply
    Cost: $10 per project *
    *Quantity purchased equals number of projects to build within your family, NOT number of people participating.

    Enjoy bagels and coffee with your Vandal Family at Moscow Building Supply and build something together as a Vandal Family!
  • 10 a.m. to Noon — Paint with your Parents: Mimosas & Masterpieces
    Location: Wild @ Art
    Cost: $35 in advance, $40 at the door

    Let us inspire and guide you as you sip, nosh, laugh, and paint. Refreshments include mimosas and non-alcoholic beverages as well as yummy light morning treats. ALL ages are welcome at this event! Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. — Cornhole Tournament
    Location: Idaho Student Union Building Plaza Cost: $10 per team

    The Official Parent & Family Weekend Cornhole Tournament! Teams must register before game day. Walk-ups will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis pending spaces available.

  • 11-2 p.m. — The Vandal Tailgate
    The Vandal Tailgate is a centrally-located gathering place for Vandal fans for all ages with plenty of local food vendors and entertainment. The party starts three hours before kickoff!
  • Noon to 2 p.m. — Master Class with Dance Faculty & Students

    Participate in a free master class with U of I Dance Faculty and the cast of Breaking Boundaries. Open to all students and community members, age 15 and older. Some previous dance experience is recommended. Please [email protected] to register.
  • 3:30 p.m. — Idaho Vandals vs. Sacramento State
    Location: ASUI Kibbie Dome
    Cost: ticket cost vary, call 111-111-6466

    Wear your official game day shirt, fill the dome, get excited for the Dad of the Year announcement and prepare to celebrate a Vandal victory!
  • 7:30 p.m. — Concert & Reception
    Location: Dance Studio Theatre (PEB 110)
    Cost: General admission $10; U of I students $8

    The Dance Program proudly presents Breaking Boundaries, a contemporary dance concert. This concert features work by U of I dance faulty and guest artist Michael Schumacher. Limited seating available. or at the door while supplies last. Enjoy a reception with faculty and cast members following this Saturday evening show.
  • 8 p.m. — Francisco Ramos Comedy Night
    Location: Pitman Center International Ballroom
    Cost: Free

    “Laugh out loud with Vandal Entertainment and Francisco Ramos. Francisco Ramos was a top-ten finalist on Last Comic Standing 2015 and continues to flourish as an actor and voice-over comic across North America, most recently appearing in Showtime’s “Shameless,” “Angie Tribeca” from Steven Carell, Netflix’s “Lady Dynamite” and voicing the role of Marmoset in the animated film “RIO” with Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg.”
  • 8-10 p.m. — Paint with your Parents: Wine & Canvas
    Location: Wild @ Art
    Cost: $35 in advance, $40 at the door

    Join the Environmental Science Club and create a craft project using repurposed wood and paints.
