ORED RISE EIS Deadline Extended to Oct. 25

The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) is extending the deadline for the RISE Equipment and Infrastructure Support (EIS) program to 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25. This will allow more time to develop proposals and secure the required cost share for this program. Additionally, in an attempt to alleviate the burden associated with committing cash as match for this program, ORED is relaxing restrictions on what can be included as matching for this competition only. Podcasting Part Two: Assembling and Editing Oct. 24

Part two of a podcasting workshop series will take place 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the MILL in the Library. This workshop will introduce and demonstrate key audio editing concepts such as trimming, equalization, compression and noise reduction, as well as provide a quick overview of audio transcription for use in editing. Being well prepared before you start writing your proposal ensures a more competitive application. Learn strategies for identifying and ing NSF program officers, thinking ahead about education plans and considering the project's broader impacts.
