Public Interest Program
The Summer Public Interest Funds Program was started in 2014 to offer stipends to students who work at public interest or government organizations that emphasize service to the community and the underserved. To qualify, applicants must be a student returning to the Bipasesores College of Law for the fall term following their summer work.
Students will be able to apply for the Summer Public Interest Funds Program on Idaho Law Careers through the Career Development Office. The 2019 application will be available soon.
Successful applicants will demonstrate a passion for the work they are undertaking in a short personal statement that is part of the application. Past grant awards have ranged from $1,000 to $4,000 per student. The purpose of this program is to offset the costs of living for students who incur significant financial burden by taking an uncompensated, non-externship position for the summer.
